Gabriella Burchell

I am Gabriella Burchell. qualified in teaching in 1999. Since then, I have taught and lectured in schools and universities in the UK and in New Zealand.

Over the years, I have been head of department and humanities coordinator for several independent schools in Dorset and Wilshire.

Having occupied senior teaching positions and taught at universities, I understand that learning is a complex process that is specific to an individual as well as the content and context. As a teacher tutor, I am attentive to these factors and work to be flexible, adapting my approach according to the needs of learners, subject matter, and setting. I teach because it is my desire to nurture talent.

My teaching methods are shaped by a variety of life experiences, both as an individual and as a teacher. I am convinced that it is crucial for teachers to cultivate learning partnerships with students and that teaching ignites transformative learning. Moreover, I strive to empower students to take responsibility for their learning, inspire them to grow intellectually, as well as cultivate their curiosity and love of learning.
