Right now, there are talks regarding schools preparing for online learning to start the new year due to the new wave of Covid. Some of your children may have come home with laptops; teachers are preparing their lessons for teaching in ‘bubbles’ with staggered start and finish times or online learning at home as a precaution for beginning the new term.
Over Christmas, it can be easy for your child to enjoy the break, stay up later than usual, enjoy watching movies and playing with their new Christmas presents. However, even if schools have a late start to the term, due to Covid, your child will need to prepare for getting back into the swing of things.
A couple of days before the school term starts, enforce their usual bedtimes, so they get used to the transition and waking up early for school doesn’t come as a complete shock to their system on their first day back.
Get your child organised and prepared for the new term without leaving things to the last minute. Not only will you be stressed about getting it all done but so will they. Make sure their homework is done, and their uniforms are ready and waiting for them for their first day back.
With the unpredictability of Covid and our government’s decisions, you may feel anxious about your child falling behind in school if they are to learn from home. But you need not worry; our Westcountry Tutors can help them get back on track, fill in any blanks, and be there to support your child on any lessons, tasks or exams they need to conquer.
If you think your child would benefit from having a tutor, get in touch with us and see how we can help you.
